... A little lovely dream

A very good friend of mine surprised me this morning with this beautiful poem. She said that when she read it she thought of me :) That is very cute. Thank you so much dear Cinda!

It almost got me into tears when I read it and at the same time it made me happy :)

Hope you like it as much as I do!!

CRADLE SONG by Sarojini Naidu

From groves of spice,
O’er fields of rice,
Athwart the lotus-stream,
I bring for you,
Aglint with dew
A little lovely dream.

Sweet, shut your eyes,
The wild fire-flies
Dance through the fairy neem;
From the poppy-bole
For you I stole
A little lovely dream.

Dear eyes, good-night,
In golden light
The stars around you gleam;
On you I press
With soft caress
A little lovely dream.

Happy Thursday!!

Anti-Valentines: "I am single so what?!" Treasury

Hi all!!

I wanted to create this treasury for the UndiscoveredArtistsofEtsy Team challenge but I forgot I had to include items from team members! Silly me!!! I still think it is fun with a sick twist and a dark sense of humor hehe I hope you don't feel offended (there is actually people that feel that way about Valentines :( )

I personally don't care about Valentines, besides the kiss chocolate candies lol Anything that screams chocolate is good with me!

Anyway, Take a look at my treasury and comment if you'd like! Have fun!!!

Pounce Tuesday!! Featuring Sahara'sHeart

Again that day of the week where we all get to know a new store and the person behind it. It has been my custom not to really pounce haha but that does not take away the fact that the creations of Laura are absolutely beautiful. She is the mind and hands behind Sahara's Heart. Like many out there, she fell in love with an american gentleman and relocated from southern Spain to Florida, how cute!

And talking about Spain...do you like Flamenco Dance? So rhytmic, so fun with those polka dot dresses and big ruffled skirts! Well, if you like them you will LOVE the Flamenco Doll Brooches!

Also, you can see a lot of reds in her products along with bright colors. You can really see the southern Spain flavor in her items and I think that makes them very unique!

At the moment, she specializes in pillows to bright your decoration. One of my favorites is the Red and White Pillow cover. I am so liking the color combo and the lacing/ribbon that frames the center piece very nicely decorated. I already love the red and blue, so this makes this pillow perfect ;)

And for those of us who are already preparing for Valentines, there is something special for us here

A super cute Valentines heart brooch for that special friend, relative of coworker.. smiles guaranteed ;)

All and all her products are carefully crafted with 100% cotton that is built to last and embellish your home!

I invite you to stop by Sahara'sHeart store and take a look around!!

Happy Tuesday!!

So many things today!

I have been having a migraine for the last 24 hours :( But my precious husband took very good care of me and made me a yummy soup! Yes, I am spoiled! Although I have to say it is my fault most likely. I have been watching the series of Fringe non-stop.. We have been marathoning on it haha. It can be very addicting and for some reason I am finding Joshua Jackson very attractive lol!

Anyway, despite my headache I had to many things to share!

Not all day yesterday was slacking at home.. actually while watching Fringe I was knitting. I knitted a cute pin cushion! I will be having a few pin cushions very soon at my Etsy Store for those of you who love to sew! They will be very affordable too :) It will not be the same design as below because that is a pattern I downloaded for personal use but I will be creating different ones with some designs you will love guaranteed :)

Other project I made was this crazy scarf. I learnt how to knit back in 2006 when I was unemployed.. I remember it was in April and I would knit in my old couch. I was single!! Well the below scarf is the very first one I ever made, but It didn't look like in the picture below. It was rolled from the edges and if you take a closer look one end is wider than the other lol! It is all so full of bad stitches, holes and imperfections, but I still love it! That is why it makes it so beautiful to me and it gives it a crazy twist, very Alicy' (in wonderland :) So yesterday I decided to finish it and I knitted the edges together and gave it a little uplift with a crocheted edges. I really like it!

Also, I am very happy to mention that I have been contacted to create a few banners. I have made two so far and there are another two on the making for other two Undiscovered Team of Etsy members. Here is the latest banner I created for SimplyGlam and they loved it!

I am still working on the ones for OCeliasJewelry and NoBakeCakes, but they will be posting them soon!

Happy Sunday!
